An Intimate Wedding in Ronda Surrounded by Nature
Working as a wedding photographer in Ronda is always a pleasure, especially when the wedding takes place in such a beautiful villa surrounded by nature. This intimate celebration felt calm, personal and deeply connected to the landscape of southern Spain.
Natalie and Marty are an Australian couple who dreamed of getting married in Andalusia. For their special day, they chose Ronda Mountain Resort, located in the heart of the Serranía de Ronda. The villa offers stunning views and the comfort of a boutique hotel, creating the perfect setting for an intimate destination wedding.
They decided to celebrate their wedding with only their closest friends and relatives, allowing the day to unfold at a relaxed pace. Natalie looked elegant in her white dress designed by One Day Bridal, paired with Jimmy Choo shoes, while Marty chose a smart beige suit that suited the natural surroundings perfectly.
The civil ceremony took place outdoors, under the shade of a tree, and was officiated by Natasha from Humanist Wedding Ceremonies Spain. The ceremony felt warm and emotional, ending with a traditional kiss, a joyful high five, and petals thrown by the guests as the couple walked towards the celebration.
A Romantic Celebration in the Serranía de Ronda
After the ceremony, guests enjoyed a relaxed cocktail with champagne, wine, and traditional Andalusian products. Live flamenco music added energy and atmosphere, setting the tone for the rest of the day.
Later, we photographed the couple with the Serranía de Ronda as a backdrop. The soft evening light and natural surroundings created timeless and romantic portraits. Dinner then took place outdoors in the villa’s garden, styled beautifully by Boutique Wedding Company, with long tables, flowers, olive branches, and handcrafted place cards.
Since it was an intimate wedding, the atmosphere during dinner felt warm and personal. Guests shared stories, laughter, and meaningful moments around the table. As night fell, the celebration continued with music by DJ Fuller and live saxophone by Roberto Cantero, keeping the dance floor alive well into the night.
It was a joy to work alongside my colleague Mireia Cordomí, who documented the day on film, while I photographed the wedding digitally. Capturing weddings like this in Ronda is always special. The combination of nature, intimacy, and thoughtful details makes this region a wonderful choice for a destination wedding in southern Spain.
